The market was honored by a puppet show by Inez from Sandglass Theater this Sunday! She presented two shows, “Kasper and the Cow,” and a special appearance by Tchokolino the Clown.

New vendors are showing up to market every week, like Lynn Meyer of Westminster West, who sells handmade totes, quilts and pillowcases.
Others, like Ruby McAdoo, returned after a two-week absence from market, pleased to find that they had been sorely missed.

With only one market left this year, we really hope that you can make out to stock up on the things you’ll pine for all winter. Like Howie’s late season raspberries; Cory’s elegant strands of dried peppers; a few fresh Meadowdale Farm chickens to keep in your freezer. Or how about a pair of Rachael Shaw’s mittens, made from recycled sweaters, to keep you toasty and stylish? If you’re looking for maple syrup, hand-dyed and spun yarn from local wool, or even if you just want to stop over for lunch and hear some live music by the Paine Brothers, you’ve got every reason to make it to the last market of the season!

In case you are unaware, this Sunday is also the 350.org Global Work Party, and our market will be participating with events all day long. If you want to know more, check back later in the week– we’ll have a comprehensive list of speakers and events posted for you here. Until then, thanks for stopping by!
